C. Joyce Woodfin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joyce Woodfin, 68, of Howland, died 12:50 PM Thursday, December 16, 2004 at home. She was born Friday, February 14, 1936, in Roanoke, Va., the daughter of the late William R. and Faye Cox Ashley, and had lived in the Warren area since 1970. Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Fairborn High School and attended Ohio University. She attended services at Believers Christian Fellowship. She had been a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Humility of Mary Health Systems. She enjoyed reading, gardening, animals, nature, and most of all, her grandchildren. Surviving Joyce are her husband, Robert B. Woodfin, whom she married September 5, 1969; her daughter, Jennifer (Virgil S.) Pack of Niles; five grandchildren: Adrianna, Ashley, and Alexis Yobe, and Taylor and Hunter Pack, all of Niles; a sister-in-law, Martha Ashley of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Coralie and Charles Frazer of Selma, Ala.; two nieces: Karen Ashley of West Palm Beach and Lauren (Brent) Beard of Auburn, Ala.; and four nephews: David (Paige) Ashley of Lighthouse Point, Fla., Dr. Mark (Kathleen) Ashley of West Palm Beach; Steve (Candace) Frazer and Bob (Marybeth) Frazer, both of Selma. Preceding Joyce in death are her parents and a brother, Robert Ashley. Services for Joyce will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Pastor Bill Carter of Believers Christian Fellowship officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
