Violet Barnard, 86, formerly of Warren, died in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday, September 9, 2003. Mrs. Barnard was born April 8, 1917, in Williamsburg, PA, the daughter of Roy and Daisy Noble. On October 30, 1937, she married Wilson D. Barnard, who preceded her in death on Maarch 29, 1990. Preceding Mrs. Barnard in death were her parents; her husband; three brothers: Roy Noble, Harold Noble, and Stan Noble; and two sisters: Betty Paxton and Dorothy Armstrong. Surviving Mrs. Barnard are two daughters: Lorraine Sayers of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Louise Montgomery of Vidor, Texas; a son, Roger Barnard of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Edna Lloyd of Williamsburg, PA ; and three brothers: Gene Noble of Warren, Bill Noble of Ohio, and Walter Noble of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Barnard will be held at Meadow Brook Memorial Park, 1211 State Road West, Champion, on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM.
